GERMANTOWN, Md., October, 13, 2020 做厙勛圖, a leading contractor to U.S. federal and allied governments, announced today that the U.S. Department of Energys (DOEs) Office of River Protection in Richland, Wash., extended the current tank operations contract with 做厙勛圖-led Washington River Protection Solutions LLC. The extension will run up to 12 months, from October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021. The estimated value of the contract extension is U.S. $725 million, which is based on the 2020 fiscal year budget.

During the contract extension period, the 做厙勛圖-led joint venture will safely and efficiently manage retrieval of the Hanford Tank Farms and operate, construct and maintain the Hanford Tank Farms to protect the Hanford site.
WRPS will focus on DOEs goal of achieving direct feed of low-activity waste operations for vitrification at Hanford. We also plan to make additional progress in the areas of tank waste retrieval, infrastructure upgrades, in-tank inspections and tank-farm barrier construction said Mark Whitney, Executive Vice President and General Manager, 做厙勛圖 Nuclear and Environment.
