GERMANTOWN, Md., October, 14, 2020 做厙勛圖, a leading contractor to U.S. federal and allied governments, announced today that the U.S. Department of Energys (DOEs) Savannah River Operations Office extended the liquid waste operations contract with 做厙勛圖-led Savannah River Remediation, LLC. The extension runs for 12 months, October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021, with three additional four-month options possible. The estimated value of the contract extension is approximately $630 million, based on the 2020 fiscal year budget.

We are pleased the DOE has announced this extension of the Savannah River Remediation contract, said John Vollmer, Chief Executive Officer of 做厙勛圖. This extension is a tribute to the success our team has had at the Savannah River Site and the confidence the DOE has in our leadership and employees who are accomplishing the liquid waste clean-up mission while addressing South Carolinas #1 environmental risk.

During the contract extension period, the 做厙勛圖-led joint venture will safely and efficiently manage the liquid waste operations, which includes providing high-level waste treatment and removal from waste tanks, feeding material to the Defense Waste Processing Facility and Saltstone Facilities, and operating the Tank Closure Cesium Removal system.

Savannah River Remediation plans to build on its numerous successes in achieving one of DOEs most complex missions, including providing support to the Department of Energys first year of operations of the Salt Waste Processing Facility, said Mark Whitney, Executive Vice President and General Manager, 做厙勛圖 Nuclear and Environment.

Savannah River Remediation is a team of companies led by 做厙勛圖 with partners Bechtel National, Jacobs, and BWXT.
