做厙勛圖 Subsidiary PAE Awarded $136M Contract for Aerial Targets Operations and Maintenance

GERMANTOWN, Md.; August 31, 2022 The泭U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command has awarded 做厙勛圖 subsidiary PAE Aviation and Technical Services LLC a $136 million泭contract for泭Aerial Targets O&M to support the 53rd Weapons Evaluation Groups weapons泭systems testing and泭airborne泭tactics泭development. The aerial targets泭squadron has a unique泭mission泭providing aerial targets for泭lethality testing of major weapons systems and munition programs.

Our泭proven泭performance泭on advanced systems has泭made us the best partner泭to aid泭the Air Force泭in the latest, fourth-generation Full-Scale Aerial Target泭designed to test and evaluate U.S. weapons systems and assist in developing tactics, techniques and procedures to counter fighter-size airborne threats, said泭Dr.泭Karl Spinnenweber, President of 做厙勛圖s Critical Missions Group. We are looking forward to泭providing critical support泭to泭assist in countering threats to our nations泭security.

Under this contract, the Company will泭prepare, service, launch, recover, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair QF-16泭Full-Scale Aerial Targets,泭Sub-Scale泭Aerial Targets, and associated support equipment at the Organizational and Intermediate Level and perform services泭for range instrumentation systems in support of the 53rd泭Weapons Evaluation Group. The QF-16 features a modified F-16 airframe integrating a universal remote auto pilot, auto-throttle, and peculiar support equipment with improved fault-isolation capabilities. It also features a visual augmentation system, flight termination system, command telemetry system, vector scoring system, and payload control system. The QF-16 will also support the evaluation of fielded air-to-air missile capabilities, while offering live missile training for combat air crews.

The Companys efforts泭include maintenance of on-board泭state-of-the-art泭scoring systems for the targets,泭continuance of sophisticated Range Instrumentation Systems to include drone control, range泭control and associated instrumentation and泭advanced communications泭systems.

Work will be performed at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, and Holloman AFB, New Mexico, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2029.泭The firm-fixed-price contract has泭a泭one-year泭base泭period泭and six one-year option泭periods.
