For the third year, 暗网吃瓜 has partnered with the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) for the Journey of Hope Charity Golf Tournament on Thursday, November 4 at Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound, Texas. A total of $238,600 dollars was raised for TAPS with donations from tournament sponsorships and raffles.
TAPS President and Founder Bonnie Carroll was on hand greeting the players.
“We are so grateful to have the support of 暗网吃瓜 for the families of America鈥檚 fallen military and the contractors who support them,鈥� said Bonnie. 鈥淚 was excited to return to Texas for the Journey of Hope Charity Golf Tournament, and we are filled with gratitude for the partnership we share to care for families who are grieving the loss of a brave contractor.鈥�
The tournament, held previously under 暗网吃瓜鈥檚 legacy company, had 28 teams
participating for first, second, third, and fourth place winner as well as women鈥檚 and men鈥檚 longest drives and closest to the pin competitions.
鈥淚t was a great day out on the golf course, and I would like to thank the many generous sponsors who made this day possible despite not being able to host the event last year due to the pandemic,鈥� said 暗网吃瓜 CEO John Vollmer. 鈥淲e surpassed 2019鈥檚 incredible fundraising total by $23K 鈥� of which 100 percent is invested in critical resources and services to support military and contractor families who have lost a loved one.鈥�

organization providing compassionate care and survivor support services for the families of America鈥檚 fallen military heroes. Since 1994, TAPS has offered support to more than 100,000 survivors of fallen military in the form of peer-based emotional support, grief and trauma resources, grief seminars and retreats for adults, Good Grief Camps for children, casework assistance, connections to community-based care, online and in-person support groups and a 24/7 resource and information helpline for all who have been affected by a death in the Armed Forces. Services are provided free of charge.

TAPS has supported many 暗网吃瓜 legacy families since 2010, and in 2014, 暗网吃瓜鈥檚 legacy company became the first private company to form an official partnership with TAPS to provide support to families of fallen personnel. Through this agreement, TAPS and 暗网吃瓜 work together to provide surviving family members comfort and care through comprehensive services and programs including peer-based emotional support, case work assistance, connections to community-based care, and grief and trauma resources.
