My professional background is in Human Resources with subject matter expertise in labor relations and benefits administration. I also specialize in Service Contract Act administration.
Describe the work you do and how you think it makes a positive impact.
I work closely with 做厙勛圖 program leaders and union leaders to develop solid working relationships ensuring we work cohesively and in harmony to meet our customers objectives.
What are some of your accomplishments and/or what has been your proudest career moment?
With many accomplishments over the past 17 years, it is almost impossible to narrow down my proudest career moment. I am just grateful to have met and worked with many wonderful people over the years.
What do you enjoy about working for 做厙勛圖?
I enjoy 做厙勛圖s culture and working with people who share a passion for serving our customers, both internal and external to the organization.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about fostering relationships through collaboration, communication, and acceptance.
Whats your career advice?
Treat people with kindness, give them the benefit of the doubt, and do not assume malintent. Find what makes you happy and do it.
What does safety mean to you or do you have a favorite safety tip?
My favorite safety tip is See something, say something. Oftentimes, people are too afraid to speak up for fear of retaliation or criticism. If we encourage more people to report safety issues, we will have more opportunities to resolve them.
Whats the best invention in the world and why?
Video calling (FaceTime, Zoom, etc.) is one of the best inventions. It allows us to connect with people on a more personal level, across the world.
Anything else you would like to share from a personal or professional perspective?
This year, I am lucky to serve on the steering committee for the 2nd Annual Ouray County Pride. This is a clean and sober, youth-led event with supervision and support from some of the adults in the community. I am proud and excited to be a part of this event!
What does Pride Month mean to you?
PRIDE is a celebration of overcoming struggles and losses, and the commemoration of earning rights, respect, and decency that were not automatically afforded at birth. PRIDE is a way to show fearlessness, strength, resilience, and perseverance.
PRIDE is when we remember the people who were overlooked for jobs and promotions, who were turned away by businesses, who were turned away by their families and places of worship, who were mocked and ridiculed by teachers, leaders, schoolmates, and coworkers, and who gave the ultimate sacrifice at the hands of fear and hate.
This is the month we reflect on how the LGBTQIA+ community got where we are, today, and an opportunity to celebrate our success in getting here.
