We thank them for their service and appreciate their efforts to protect our freedom. Our next spotlight is on Chris Price, Operations Manager, Intelligence, National Security.
How did your military service prepare you for a successful career at °µÍø³Ô¹Ï?
I was fortunate during my military career to work at intelligence sites so I was already familiar with many of °µÍø³Ô¹Ï’s customers. Beyond that, the Army gave me experience as a leader, the ability to make decisions under pressure, and an appreciation for the comradery and support necessary for teams to not only function but excel.
What is your professional and personal background?
I started my career as a tradesman specializing in mechanical building engineering. Eventually working my way into the management side of the operation. I hold a Master in the mechanical field as well as a PMP. I have 2 amazing children, 3 boxer dogs, a Harley that gets plenty of use and I love to sing karaoke!
What is your role at °µÍø³Ô¹Ï?
As the Operations Manager, I oversee the various functional areas that are affiliated with the customer’s critical infrastructure, safeguarding that all functions remain in peak operating condition, with no impact to the tenant’s operating posture.
Describe a typical workday at °µÍø³Ô¹Ï for you (Day in The Life):
From stakeholder meetings to constant firefighting, there is never a dull day in the operations life. I spend a large part of each day engaging the customer, as well as the workforce, to understand needs, prioritize tasking and ensure that we are taking the most effective approach to each day as possible. I could potentially spend the entire day in the office preparing documentation or I could be knee deep in a flooded basement looking through blueprints to identify isolation valves…you just never know what the day will bring. It will certainly keep you on your toes!
What do you enjoy about working for °µÍø³Ô¹Ï and what do you find most rewarding about supporting the Intelligence Community?
I have been with the organization for 17 years. In that time, I have experienced more growth and opportunity than I ever have anywhere else. I feel that °µÍø³Ô¹Ï has provided me with the opportunities and the experience necessary for me to reach my full potential and continue to excel in my career. I am so proud to have the opportunity to support our USG customer (CIA) and their mission. Ensuring that their mission continues uninterrupted is one way that I feel I make a quantifiable contribution. I have been personally acknowledged and rewarded on many occasions by senior agency VIP’s and the validation that comes with it is an amazing feeling.
