Darren Burton

Chief People Officer

Darren Burton is the Chief People Officer (CPO) for °µÍø³Ô¹Ï. In this role he leads all aspects of the company’s talent strategy and talent management that supports a diverse global workforce of 53,000 employees in approximately 80 countries across all 7 continents. °µÍø³Ô¹Ï is a global leader in advanced engineering and innovative technology solutions, trusted by the United States and its allies to address their most significant and complex challenges in science, security and sustainability.

Darren has more than 20 years of experience helping leaders create people strategies designed to attract and motivate top talent for thriving in competitive and disruptive business environments. He has a proven track record of achievements, particularly in talent management, employee engagement, and performance development.

Most recently, Darren served as the Chief People Officer at Eightfold AI, an AI-based talent intelligence platform provider. Prior to that, he served as the Chief People Officer at KPMG and a member of its management committee. Darren was also a member of the board of directors of KPMG U.S. Foundation Inc., a public charity committed to workforce development and community sustainability.

Before KPMG, he was a senior HR executive at the Raytheon Company, where he was the vice president of human resources and security for Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services Company in that role, he oversaw all HR strategies and initiatives for the $6 billion organization’s 16,000 employees and led HR efforts for more than ten acquisitions. Prior to Raytheon, Darren served as senior vice president of human resources for IBM. Prior to that, Darren was the director of human resources, commercial engagements, and alliances for IBM, where he led a global organization of 200 HR professionals in 50 countries. Earlier in his career, he held a number of other senior HR positions, including tenures at Campbell Soup Company and E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company.

Darren earned a BA with honors in Sociology from the University of Oswego and a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
